Main WAV (Untagged)
Required. The main WAV file is used for BeatStars uploads. BeatOps detects your WAV file using these rules:
- Any
.wavfile longer than 40 seconds - Files containing "sample", "stem", or "loop" in the filename are excluded
- This should be your untagged, full-quality master
Main MP3
Required. The main MP3 file is used for YouTube, BeatStars, and SoundCloud uploads. BeatOps detects your MP3 file using these rules:
- Any
.mp3file longer than 40 seconds - This is typically your tagged version for YouTube or a high-quality MP3 for distribution
Note: Audio files shorter than 30 seconds are ignored entirely. They will not be detected as any audio type.
Short MP3 (YouTube Shorts)
Optional. A 30-60 second version of your beat used for YouTube Shorts. BeatOps uses two methods to detect short MP3 files:
Explicit Detection
Include "short" or "shorts" in the filename with a dash or underscore before it:
Drake Type Beat - Midnight-short.mp3Drake Type Beat - Midnight_shorts.mp3
Implicit Detection
If no explicitly named short file is found, BeatOps will automatically detect one based on duration:
- The MP3 file must be shorter than 70 seconds
- The MP3 file must be less than 60% of the main WAV duration
This allows BeatOps to pick up short versions even if they are not named with "short" in the filename.
